Who We Are (International)

In October 2005, three key leaders of Opportunity International Network attended the live summit in Chicago, and four others attended remote events – two in South Africa and two in England. All of them who went came away with the feeling that this is something that Opportunity International should make available to all other leaders in their global network. Thus, Opportunity International started collaboration with its lead partner in the Philippines, since it is a country that Willow Creek Association (WCA) would like to be in to but do not have the local association to work with..

The Philippine Global Leadership Summit (GLS)

In October 2006, five delegates from the Alliance of Philippine Partners in Enterprise Development, Inc. (APPEND)- also known as Opportunity International’s Philippine Network Office- were sent to Sydney to participate and observe the GLS there. This was with the view of preparing the Philippine Team on how to put this on October 2007.

Meanwhile, Christ’s Commission Fellowship also tried to contact WCA with keen interest in bringing GLS to the Philippines.

In March 2007, must be God’s appointed time -- WCA, Opportunity International, APPEND and CCF leaders met to forge officially the conducting of GLS 2007 in the Philippines!
